Brian Bingham

Director of Development

Brian Bingham was born and raised on a farm west of Blackfoot, Idaho, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for community values. His family continues to volunteer and assist Spanish-speaking immigrants in their community.

Brian graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho with a degree in Spanish Education. He began his educational career at Hillcrest High School in Idaho Falls, where he taught Spanish and Humanities for four years, in addition to coaching football and track. Seeking to make a more significant impact on his students and the broader community, he pursued a master's degree in educational leadership from Idaho State University.

Brian's first principal role was at Alturas International Academy, which he joined in its second year. Over a three-year period, he led the school through significant growth, adding a middle school and expanding its enrollment from 250 to over 550 students. He served as principal at Alturas International for four years. In his third year, he co-founded Alturas Preparatory Academy with Michelle Ball and became its founding principal in 2021, witnessing the first graduating class in 2024.

Now serving as the Director of Development for the Alturas Academy network of schools, Brian is dedicated to expanding the innovative school model that he helped establish. He is passionate about creating safe, engaging environments where students can reach their unique potential.

Outside of his professional life, Brian enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife Britini and their four children, Heston, Colston, Kelli Pearl, and Daxton. The Bingham family enjoys dirt biking, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and boating in Idaho's beautiful landscapes.
