Coralei Rodriguez
Middle School Spanish
Coralei Rodriguez grew up in Utah, Oregon, and moved to Idaho Falls for her Senior year of high school. Ms. Rodríguez, or "Señora" as her students call her, is passionate about teaching and shares with students how languages can open our minds and hearts to others in addition to becoming better acquainted with ourselves. She studied in Chile and graduated from BYU with a Bachelor´s degree in Spanish Teaching. After graduation, she moved to Houston, Texas where her life has been enriched by the students she has taught from around the world.
Ms. Rodriguez loves to learn with her students as they explore the Spanish language and the different cultures in the Spanish-speaking world. She is excited to join the Alturas team and invite students to share in her passion for the Spanish language and cultures. She looks forward to hearing their reasons for acquiring another language and helping them to meet their goals.
When she is not at school, Ms. Rodríguez enjoys long walks with her dog Concho, a good mystery or espionage novel, and working in her yard. She has missed being able to walk barefoot in the grass, thank goodness there are no fire ants in Idaho. :) She is a fan of camping in the mountains, canoeing on lakes and rivers, and not running into bears. She is also a true blue BYU fan.
