Deana Peoples is our vice-principal at Alturas Preparatory Academy. Mrs. Peoples graduated with her Bachelors in Education from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama.

Previously she taught in an elementary education classroom for 1st - 3rd grade at Alturas International Academy. While teaching she gained leadership skills through her position as the PYP Coordinator. She has taught Elementary and Middle School students for over ten years. She is a passionate educator who loves to encourage and help students achieve success. Mrs. Peoples believes in the Alturas vision of small group instruction at instructional levels and looks forward to working with the Alturas staff to meet the needs of our student community.

Mrs. Peoples is married to her husband Ryan, and has 2 children: Victoria and Amberleigh. She loves to be outdoors engaged in a multitude of activities like hiking, paddleboarding and snowshoeing. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. Mrs. Peoples is an avid reader and loves to serve her community in many different ways. She is excited about the opportunities to grow and serve at Alturas Preparatory Academy.
