Rebecca Scheunemann was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota, but has lived in Idaho Falls for over 20 years. 

She previously taught 4th grade at Holy Rosary School and has enjoyed getting to know the Alturas Program during the 23/24 school year while working as a paraprofessional. She holds a BA in History from Idaho State University. 

In her free time, Mrs. Scheunemann can always be found with a book, hanging out with her family (husband and four children), or hiking in the mountains. She loves to travel (especially abroad), study history, write fiction, and appreciate the fine arts. 

She is thrilled to be joining the teaching staff at Alturas and can’t wait to share her enthusiasm for learning with students.
