Reece Drkula is the principal of Alturas Preparatory Academy, where he is dedicated to fostering an environment that helps students reach their full potential. Before taking on his current role, Reece served as the principal of Alturas International, bringing experience in educational leadership and a deep commitment to student success.

Reece began his Alturas career as a MYP middle school teacher and Dean of Students, where he developed a strong foundation in student-centered learning and school administration. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and an Associate Degree in Aviation Mechanics.

Outside of his professional life, Reece is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys playing hockey during the winter months. He values the support of his family, including his wife Tess and their two sons, Cooper and Bennett. Reece is a strong advocate for the instructional model at Alturas Preparatory Academy, believing it provides the best opportunities for students to excel.
